REVIEWS
Thought it was a great event an opportunity to learn basic watercolor techniques. Sherman was excellent at his instructions and knowledge of paint and paper.

This was painted from a photo posted by Let?s Make Art for their Summer Atmospheric course. I like the combination of Daniel Smith Opera Pink and Cobalt Blue for that beautiful sky.

Title or Location: Whispering Pines
This piece is a watercolor version of a Bob Ross painting. My goal is to portray movement of a forest in a bold, loose, and drippy watercolor style. The vibrant, sun-drenched meadow leads the eye through a grove of majestic pines, where light and shadow dance across the grass in an interplay of brilliant greens. The misty, soft-focus background provides a tranquil contrast to the expressive, energetic brushwork of the trees, inviting the viewer into a peaceful woodland escape.

I love painting our native birds and this one really caught my eye for the colours on his wing and tail. A blue winged kookaburra. The background was an idea I have been developing for awhile and what better way to set it all off than using our gum leaves and gumnuts to frame him. Painted in watercolour, my medium of choice.

Title or Location: Twilight at the Lakeside Chapel
This painting was meant to capture a tranquil moment at dusk, featuring a historic chapel nestled among lush greenery by the water's edge. The scene is brought to life with my signature loose, bold, and drippy style, highlighting the warm, golden glow of the setting sun reflecting off the water?s surface and the dramatic, moody clouds above. In the foreground, two ducks float peacefully near a rustic wooden dock, adding a sense of quiet stillness to the composition.
