Title or Location: The Fishing Place
This painting was created for a healthcare-related acquaintance, someone I've known for a long time and is an avid fisherman. As I explore abstract, loose watercolor, I love to create settings that are mystical and inviting. When I presented this to them as a gift, I said, "Here is your new fishing place!" The response of "This looks like somewhere I'd like to go!" showed me that I am on the right path.

Title or Location: Nairobi Savanah
The preserve animals have become use to seeing the Range Rovers and Jeeps of "touristy" safaris that they all but ignore them for the most part. This young lion was more interested in a potential meal then doing cameos for the tourists. I wanted to show how this beautiful young lion blended in to its environment. I used a limited palate so the colors of the lion blended with the savannah

Title or Location: Echoes of Silence
In this piece, I attempt to capture a young man?s melancholic state. In art, melancholy is often used to capture the essence of introspection, as it conveys emotions that are universal and relatable to everyone. I chose cool color temperatures to evoke feelings of sadness and of sorrow. Pink and yellow were used to prevent it from becoming overly maudlin and to evoke feelings of hope.? Title or Location: Ryans Magpies
I love painting birds. Magpies I especially love to paint because they have such beautiful colours that to the eye appear dark but upon closer observation are bright and vibrant.I have only recently started painting in watercolour, this is my second watercolour painting. It was painted for a Christmas present for my son in law, Ryan. Hence the title Ryans Magpies. The composition of the painting is entirely my own. I use many single images and combine them into one picture.
